You can search by CAS number for products where the supplier has provided the product's CAS number in their data. To search by CAS, simply add CAS: to the beginning of your search query. So if you were looking for "64-17-5" you can locate it by CAS using "CAS: 64-17-5".
Special Note on Searching With Dashes and Direct Search
Many distributors and manufacturers have dashes "-" in their product identifiers. Sometimes these product identifiers will be printed in catalogs and provided on the web differently than they are provided to the procurement system. In order to help with this, the procurement center stores special data that stores both the product identifier that we were provided with as well as a cleaned identifier with no dashes or special characters. So when you search for ABC-123, the system searches amongst the special identifiers for ABC123.
In some cases, an identifier might not have been populated with this clean format. If you have any problem locating product identifiers with dashes, you can simply wrap your search in quotations and the system will not clean the search and instead will search for your query as written. So, if you search for "ABC-123" with quotes, it will not attempt to clean the query.
